Booking Through Thursday

What’s the oddest book you’ve ever read? Did you like it? Hate it? Did it make you think?

The one that immediately came into my head is House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski That is one bizarre book, but I really enjoyed it. I must admit, I didn't understand all of it, not with all those footnotes, but there was a really scary aura to the entire book which I enjoyed.

This does sound strange, very dark cover.

I have heard many readers say the same about thing House of Leaves. There's certainly an aura of mystery around the book.

This may be one case where you can judge the book by the cover. It appears dark and forbidding, much like the content within.

My husband has been trying to get me to read this one for years. Maybe I'll get around to it sometime this year.
